El Dorado County Superior Court Judge Doug Phimister ordered the couple, who face life in prison if convicted on all 29 charges, held without bail, the San Francisco Chronicle said.
Authorities allege Garrido and his wife kidnapped Dugard when she was 11 and kept her prisoner for 18 years. While a prisoner, Dugard was allegedly raped by Garrido and gave birth to two of his daughters.
The couple was arrested after Dugard, now 29, informed a state parole officer of her identity.
Police say they are searching Garrido’s home in Antioch, Calif., in an attempt to tie the sex slave suspect to a series of prostitute killings.
Contra Costa County police confirmed Garrido has been tabbed as a suspect in nearly 10 prostitute killings in the area of Pittsburg, Calif., in the 1990s.

New York Strip Clubs: Livin’ in a Van Down by the River

Tarangelo hasn’t always been the man in van. He used to live in a house in Staten Island with his wife, to whom he was married for 14 years. Then they got divorced, and when Tarangelo tried to buy her out it ended up costing more than he could afford.
So he bounced. And moved all of his earthly possessions to a beige van by the river, where he’s lived happily for the last eight years, Tarangelo told videographer Sean Dunne, who spent a few hours with him. Watch the interview, you won’t be sorry.
What’s life like for the man in van? He wakes up in the morning, walks his four dogs and then has breakfast. He usually gets tea and a muffin, but for a special treat on the weekends he heads over to Dunkin’ Donuts for an egg sandwich. Then it’s off to the park to chat with friends – and sometimes he gets a free dinner at a nearby gentleman’s club.

New York Massage Parlors: Citing Entrapment, Summit Defense Att…

Summit Defense Law Offices has recently received a dramatic increase in client inquiries by men accused of soliciting prostitution. The increase is primarily due to an aggressive police crackdown targeting men who answered Craigslist erotic services and adult classifieds postings.
In these cases, police officers, posing as “erotic service workers” posted ads promising services such as escorting or erotic massage. Following calls, arrangements were made to meet at downtown San Jose hotels where the men were arrested by undercover police officers and cited for 647(b) solicitation for prostitution.
According to Mr. Davidson, an attorney at Summit Defense, these sting operations and prosecutions are a waste of public resources which entrap innocent citizens potentially destroying careers and families.
Some local defense lawyers including Summit Defense are aggressively challenging these prosecutions.
Mr. Davidson explains. “Our approach is to challenge every element of the prosecution’s case, but also to appeal to sense of fairness (sic). Many of our clients are professionals with unblemished records…a brief lapse of judgment should not be permitted to tarnish a good reputation or jeopardize a family’s future.”

New York Strip Clubs: Review: Big Fan

But Paul doesn’t want anything more out of life; he’s perfectly content with what he has now, which is a football team with a great record nearing the playoffs. And things appear to get even better for Paul when him and his friend Sal (Kevin Corrigan) spot the famed Giants linebacker — and Paul’s favorite player — Quantrell Bishop filling up his car at a gas station. The boys then decide to follow Bishop and his crew through the ghetto areas of Staten Island, to a random house, and then into Manhattan, eventually winding up at a strip club in Times Square. After a couple missed opportunities to chat up their football idol, Paul finally makes a move into Bishop’s VIP section where he inadvertently mentions that he followed the Bishop crew all the way from Staten Island — a fact that enrages Bishop to the point that he decides to beat the living snot out of Paul in a fit of rage.

New York Strip Clubs: Miley Cyrus revives line dancing in A…

MELBOURNE – Boot scooting or line dancing has become the latest rage in Aussie clubs, all thanks to Miley Cyrus. In what people are calling “the Miley Cyrus effect”, members are boot scooting in huge numbers, what with more than 900 NSW clubs offering classes. And the revival of the American folk dance has been credited to the ‘Hannah Montana’ star, reports the Daily Telegraph. The dance was last popularised in the early 1990s, when her father’s most successful song ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ topped the charts. At Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club, people line dance to Lady Gaga’s song ‘Poker Face’. (ANI)

Multiple rapist from Asbury gets what amounts to life term
FREEHOLD — An Asbury Park man found guilty in June of raping five women there in 2006 was sent to prison Friday with little chance he will ever be released.
Michael Askins, 45, was sentenced to five consecutive 25-year prison terms by state Superior Court Judge Ira E. Kreizman. Askins had been convicted on five counts each of kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault and making terroristic threats against the five women in November and December 2006. All but one of the victims were self-described prostitutes.
Citing his “extensive prior record,” Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Elaine Leschot asked the judge to impose extended terms on Askins and that the sentences consecutive instead of concurrent.
“He is a man who is, pure and simply, absolutely a danger to society,” Leschot said. “If the court ever lets him out, there will be another victim within months. He will prey on the citizens of this county.”

New York Adult Entertainment: AP News in Brief

The latest death was reported as Afghan officials announced an 80 percent increase in the number of major fraud allegations submitted after last week’s disputed presidential election—a sign of the deep challenges facing the U.S. and its allies in shoring up a legitimate Afghan government capable of withstanding the Taliban insurgency, corruption and drug trafficking.
A brief statement by the NATO command gave few details of the blast and did not say precisely where it occurred. U.S. military spokeswoman Capt. Elizabeth Mathias said the service member who died was American.
That brought to 45 the number of U.S. service members killed this month in the Afghan war—one more than the previous monthly record, set in July.

New York Strip Clubs: Review: Big Fan, Microscopic Life

The Bigger Picture: Robert D. Siegel, writer of The Wrestler, has picked yet another tragic subject for his directorial debut. But instead of a has-been, Paul Aufiero (Oswalt) is a never-was, a grown man who lives with his mother while eking out a living working in a parking garage. Yet he attains a minor level of semianonymous celebrity as a regular caller to a sports-talk radio show, on which he delivers elaborately written rants attacking the New York Giants’ opponents as though he’s speaking off the cuff.
So sad is the life of this superfan though, that he can’t even afford actual game tickets; instead, he and best friend Sal (Kevin Corrigan) drive to the stadium parking lot to listen on the radio. And one day, when they catch sight of Paul’s favorite player, Quantrell Bishop (Jonathan Hamm), they have the ill-conceived notion to follow him, first to what looks like an inner-city drug den (though the naive duo totally miss this fact), and then to a strip club, where they finally get up the nerve to approach him, and Paul earns a beatdown for his troubles.
