HAMILTON — After a brief lull, township officials say they’ve discovered two more illegal boarding house operations in Hamilton, adding to the number of homes packed with occupants that the township has discovered since August.
The two latest houses, both on Nottingham Way, represent the sixth and seventh alleged illegal boarding operations discovered since the summer, when five were discovered in a span of little more than a month.
One of the houses, located at 2633 Nottingham Way, is located only doors down from a massage parlor raided by police for prostitution in June.
Robert Warney, the township’s director of community planning and compliance, said both the boarding house and massage parlor property are owned by the same man, Paul Tremblay, who reportedly told township officials that he did not know what was going on behind closed doors at the Europa Massage Parlor.

The ringleaders appeared in Brooklyn Federal Court Wednesday night.  Domingo Salazar, 33, and Norma Mendez, 32, face sex trafficking charges and could face additional counts. The illegal immigrants from Mexico allegedly forced a young woman into prostitution, abused her and barred her from getting medical care for the infant when he fell ill last January.

According to a federal affidavit, the couple launched the prostitution ring out of their New York apartment in April 2007.  Salazar met the young woman in Mexico, got her pregnant and smuggled her into the United States.  The woman gave birth to Salazar’s son in New York in November 2007, according to officials.  Salazar forced her to sell sex to “repay” a $2,500 smuggling fee.

The young woman is now recovering after being rescued from the 40th Street home after investigators received a tip about a brothel.  The woman’s name has not been released. Other immigrant woman were also forced into prostitution but they have not been located.

Updated 11/26/2009 02:46 PM Police in Brooklyn say the body of an infant was discovered Wednesday inside the home of a couple accused of running a brothel.
Investigators raided the Sunset Park home where they discovered the remains of a baby entombed in a tub of concrete.
Police believe the body is that of an infant son belonging to an enslaved prostitute.
Domingo Salazar and his wife, Norma Mendez were arrested and charged with sex trafficking.
Prosecutors say the two forced a Mexican immigrant to work as a prostitute and that she was beaten frequently by her captors.
“She looked like she was distraught and she was always to herself, never talking to anyone, so I didn’t even know that she had a baby,” said one neighbor.

Investigators believe Salazar and Mendez forced other undocumented immigrant women into prostitution.
