New York Strip Clubs: A Giant blame game

Titans fans, I feel for you.  Chuck Cecil is just as bad as Bill Sheridan.  Heck, he’s even beloved by Matt Millen, so you know he stinks.
Panthers 41, Giants 9
If you’re ever stuck in the Hartford area for the weekend, I’d like to suggest Maguire’s in Newington for watching games. They have 35 TVs and they’re in the same building as a strip club in case you need to forget the Giants’ troubles for a bit. I’m not saying I went there, but I’m not saying I didn’t.
Steelers 23, Ravens 20
APVictim of circumstance Ray Lewis.
OK, I did. My stripper was a Ravens fan, and she was telling me that the refs have it out against Baltimore because they think Ray Lewis is a showboat. I agree with her. She’s smart since she’s saving up money for nursing school.

New York Strip Clubs: Holder should stop patronizing black dads for political points

If Holder and Obama feel compelled to criticize black men as a collective (rather than focusing on the positive things we do for the world), then I hope they don’t get offended when black men start criticizing right back. Given that his father was African (not African-American), the idea that President Obama has used his own father’s behavior to validate his critiques on the African-American male is incredibly problematic as well. Obama’s own experience communicates nothing about him ever being abandoned by an African-American male.
To talk about absentee fathers every time you discuss black men is like talking about strippers and prostitutes every time you refer to black women. Even the black women who don’t engage in such activity would become offended that the behavior of a subgroup has been consistently used to address the collective, or that black women are considered more likely to become strippers than white or Asian women. Mr. President, if you cannot also address the good things that black men do, then please do not address the negatives. Both you and Eric Holder are more intelligent than that, so it’s time for some personal responsibility.

New York Strip Clubs: Tiger Woods shuts down Web site forum, one poster calls him ‘garbage,’ another …

Meanwhile, there is more fallout from alleged mistress Jamie Jungers’ profanity-laced radio interview Monday.   On Tuesday, a Radar Online reporter was interviewed on the same show and said Jungers is lying about not having nude photos of Woods and is lying about her ex-fiancee being the cause of her relationship with Woods being made public.  Click here for more details.
In a profanity-laced  interview  on San Francisco station KNEW and Los Angeles-based  KFI radio, Jamie Jungers angrily denied that she has naked photos of Tiger Woods.    Details here and listen to interview in audio link here.
The New York Post reports that Woods was a regular at a New York City strip club but always acted like a strip club “virgin,” like he had never been in a strip club before.  The Post and the New York Daily News are also reporting that the Stanford alum was surrounded by a group of assistants who covered for him but also tried to warn him of the risks he took with image.   Details here.

New York Adult Entertainment: "Entertainment" embarrassing

Amen. Syndicated columnist Ellen Goodman, in her Dec. 18 commentary “Nobody says “shame on you’ anymore,” talks of former call girl Ashley Dupre getting a columnist job at the New York Post and discusses other journalists’ writing on the Tiger Woods episode. She said everything I would have said if I had the opportunity.
I am a 43-year-old student at Brookdale Community College with a grade-point average of 4.0, and I will graduate with honors and a journalism degree in May.
I will be extremely lucky to get a job in the mail room at any newspaper after I graduate. I have obviously taken the wrong path to a paying job in journalism.
I am constantly embarrassed by what our society chooses to accept as a form of “entertainment” these days.

New York Adult Entertainment: Shame for the shameful

Our view: For a besieged neighborhood, prostitution is hardly a ‘victimless’ crime

To the extent that efforts like the one in Brooklyn are successful, residents are to be commended for helping to undermine a vicious system that cruelly exploits women and under-age girls, abets drug dealing and violent crime and contributes to the dangerous spread of sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV. Prostitution is hardly a “victimless” crime, as its apologists often argue: When the social and public health costs of the trade are all added up, the whole community suffers from its consequences.
If would-be Johns seeking sex for hire fear discovery will bring shame on them for their shameful behavior, so be it. The more residents and police cooperate to rid their streets of such predators, the harder it will be for prostitutes and their clients to flout the law with impunity.

Dutch Treat: Library’s Documents Reveal City’s Scandalous Secrets
Pieter Schenk. View of New Amsterdam, ca. 1702.(New York Public Library Digital Archive.)
History records it was a city founded by sober, God fearing church-goers seeking religious freedom. A colony ruled by conservatives who thought gambling, the theater, sex outside of marriage, colorful clothing, and even celebrating Christmas were immoral. But what if it was all a whitewash? An attempt to hide the secret history of the earliest settlers: pirates, prostitutes, smugglers, adventurers, and fortune seekers. Free thinkers for whom even the most liberal city in Europe wasn’t liberal enough? That’s the truth being revealed about the city of Manhattan by Charles Gehring, an archivist working at the New York State Library.
Gehring has made it his life’s work to translate documents that tell the story of New Netherland and its capital New Amsterdam. These seventeenth century Dutch documents describe the beginnings of the colorful metropolis we now call New York. A city filled with lively, vivid, red-blooded charac …

New York Adult Entertainment: My nights at the harem

… I fell victim to Stockholm Syndrome,” Lauren writes in her book “Some Girls: My Life in a Harem” (Plume), out in April. “I knew I was a hooker, but somehow I felt like Cinderella.”
Lauren lifts the veil off her secret harem life, sharing vivid and explosive details of her 18 months as a hired party girl, her bizarre affair with the prince, the outrageous shopping sprees and the fighting within the international clique of 40 women who fought for the prince’s affections.
Lauren, the adopted daughter of a Jewish stockbroker and a housewife, never thought she’d end up in a Muslim’s brothel. She grew up in a town where “orthodonture was mandatory and getting a nose job as a gift for your sweet 16 was highly recommended.”
By the time she was 16, she had enrolled in NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Six months later, she dropped out and started stripping in Times Square. Eventually she became an elite call girl.

New York Strip Clubs: Report: Staten Island-based "Jersey Shore" star was a stripper

Report: Staten Island-based “Jersey Shore” star was a stripper
Saturday, Dec. 26 2009 @ 4:51PM
TMZ is reporting that local hero Mike “I have a pet name for my abdominals” Sorrentino of MTV’s Jersey Shore worked as a lapdancing exotic dancer for a New York- and Jersey-based troupe of male strippers.
Sorrentino, whose heavily-tanned midsection goes by “the Situation,” allegedly worked for the All American Male troupe in 2004. All American Male claims Lisa Maria Presley, Donatella Versace, Isabella Rossellini, Neve Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jennifer Lopez as customers. They describe their available manflesh as “good looking” with “a great physique… a great entertainer… incredibly sexy yet tasteful and fun.”
I’ve got nothing substantive to say about this. I’m not sure there is anything substantive to say about this. The News went with “fist pumping isn’t this Staten Island native’s only skill.” Call it this weekend’s edition of Jersey Shore trainwreck watch.
