New York Adult Entertainment: Russian’s wealth will be overall Nets gain

Just how thorough this “investigation” will be remains to be learned, but since some of the people doing the investigating have fairly checkered pasts of their own, the best guess is: Not Very. Put it this way: neither Stern nor any of Prokhorov’s prospective brethren owners seemed disturbed in the least by the revelations of Sunday’s 60 Minutes episode: * He built his fortune virtually from scratch, largely in the metals trade, in a Yeltsin-era Russia he likens to “the Wild West – a territory with no sheriff”, but maintained it had been at least 15 years since he last bribed a government official.
*In January of 2007 Prokhorov was jailed for four days by French police, who had charged him with promoting prostitution after he flew in a planeload of Russian party girls for the entertainment of two dozen holidaying guests and business associates at Corchevel. (“Now there,” said Nicolas Sarkozy, at the time the French Minister of the Interior, “is a man who wants to please.”)

New York Adult Entertainment: Rajaratnam lawyers fight wiretap orders disclosure

U.S. prosecutors have described the probe as the biggest hedge fund insider trading case on record in the United States, in which 21 traders, lawyers and executives were charged last October and November. Much of their evidence was gathered using court-approved wiretaps and cooperators.
Eight people, some of them Rajaratnam’s former friends and business associates or onetime Galleon employees, have signed cooperation agreements with federal prosecutors and may be called upon to testify at criminal trials.
“Mr. Rajaratnam respectfully requests that the Court deny the government’s motion for a procedure to address the public’s right to access wiretap applications and orders,” Rajaratnam’s main lawyer, John Dowd, wrote in a Manhattan federal court memorandum.
He argued that “no such right exists” and cited an appeals court ruling last year involving The New York Times newspaper’s efforts to obtain records of wiretaps in an investigation of a prostitution ring that led to the resignation in 2008 of New York Governor Eliot Spitzer.

New York Adult Entertainment: Heavy – Times Square’s last homeless person

The social workers at Common Ground say they have no intention of pressing Heavy to leave the streets. But executive director Tim Marx says neighbours might not be helping in the long term by giving him food and clothing. They are considering posting one of their outreach workers to stay with Heavy all day, study his movements, and talk to neighbours about what is best for him.
Rosanne Haggerty, the president of Common Ground, has known Heavy since at least 1990. In those days, there were more than 70 people in the area on a typical night, in the midst of a roiling mess of drug dealing, prostitution and crime. “He’s kind of iconic,” Haggerty says. “He would leave for periods and then return, and some days we would actually succeed in getting him inside. But he has this fascination with the life in Times Square.”

New York Adult Entertainment: California Marijuana Referendum: New York Must Be Next

… Our budget shortfall has gone from $7 Billion, to $9 Billion, to an estimate $15 Billion in just a few weeks,” said Davis who was the Vice President of a Hedge Fund before opening the world’s most lucrative escort service. “Legalizing, regulating and taxing marijuana will generate $1 billion in new revenues, save millions in wanted law enforcement, cut court costs and help balance the budget.”
Davis said she would strongly support an Opt-Out clause where localities could opt by local vote not to sell marijuana in that locality. “I believe in home rule and local option. Some counties may choose to allow legal pot sales, others may not.”
“New York has millions of marijuana users who would gladly pay taxes if marijuana was legalized,” said Davis who has vowed to petition her way onto the ballot as the candidate of a new party or seek the New York Libertarian nomination.
Davis has made support for the legalization of prostitution and marijuana and gaming as her platform to raise new revenues without tax increases. For more information on Kristin Davis for Governor, go to http://www.kristindavis2010.com.

New York Massage Parlors: If You Use Foursquare, You Are an Annoying Jackass

Now people have started linking Foursquare to their Twitter and Facebook accounts, so some people’s Twitter feeds read like an itinerary. “Joe is at Taco Bell.” “Joe is at Wal-Mart.” “Joe is at Tian’an Men Massage Parlor.” Shut the fuck up, Joe. We don’t care where you are! And if we did, we would text or call or email and say “Where are you?” Is that so hard? Even worse is if you’re with Joe on a night out, and he’s too preoccupied with earning his badges and seeing where everyone else is to actually talk to you. Hey, Joe. We’re right fucking here trying to have fun in real life. Stop ignoring your friends, put down your iPhone, and try to engage with the real world like an actual person instead of some virtual game like some sort of limp World of Warcraft avatar.

New York Strip Clubs: A Fistful of Dollars

Amidst applause, wearing a blue judo uniform and a look of determination, the promoter makes his way from the locker room to the ropes, stepping through to square off against a lithe, scrappy-looking Brooklynite named Rashad. Storm’s fought in about half of his events and met with about as much success as failure, but he’s confident for this one, having dedicated a few weeks of training for what should be a spirited affair. The typical Underground Combat League competitor runs the gamut of skill and promise, a sliding scale that ranges anywhere from future stud to lunatic. In 2005, Rutgers University wrestling coach Frankie Edgar fought at a UCL installment in the Bronx, while strip club busboy Tareyton Williams fought at one in Manhattan in 2006. Edgar will be fighting for the UFC’s lightweight championship belt in Abu Dhabi this April. Williams, on the other hand, is doing 18 years upstate for assaulting a 64-year-old man with a power saw in a subway station.

New York Strip Clubs: New York 2010: 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco is efficient, not a stripper

As you may imagine, Chevy has also done its very best to reduce mass as much as possible, going to far as to shave welds down by a millimeter. But here’s the thing: while working on the body in white, Chevy discovered that the mass-saving measures they made to the Eco could easily be applied to other Cruze models, which means that the not-quite-yet-on sale Cruze will have across the board improved mileage. Nice, no? The Chevy Cruze should go on sale in the 3rd quarter of 2010 with the Eco (probably) making it out of the gate by the 4th quarter of this year.
As far as the seemingly random “not a stripper” fragment in the title goes, Chevrolet has made the decision not to totally decontent the Eco. According to Chevy, people’s tastes are changing (ya think?) and they want high mileage vehicles to have lots of creature comforts. For instance, the Eco ships with 17-inch forged aluminum wheels. Nice. Make the jump to read the press release.

New York Strip Clubs: Jesse James Nazi Past REVEALED – Shocking Photos

Jesse James is at the center of one of the biggest scandals we’ve seen in Hollywood.  It started out as a scandal all about his sleazy affairs with multiple women (strippers) and now it’s turned into a question of Jesse James’ character when it comes to racism.

New York Strip Clubs: Did Jesse James Check Into Rehab for Cheating on Sandy or Being a Neo-Nazi?

A tabloid ecosystem of hating on Jesse James paused and scratched its head last night at the revelation that the cheating husband of Sandra Bullock has checked into rehab. Do we have to be nice to him if he’s an addict? En route to Sierra Tucscon—an Arizona facility that does sex, alcohol, and drug rehab among other things—Jesse was reportedly stopped by a CHP officer for driving without a front license plate. “James told the officer he was going to Arizona to try to save his marriage to Sandra Bullock.” But Sandy’s America’s sweetheart, the CHP officer exclaimed. Godspeed, and if you need a good STD clinic, let me know. [TMZ, People]
But is Jesse’s rehab a publicity ploy—and if so, what for? His breaking point coincides with the release of costumed Nazi pictures. Whereas rehab can cure you of being a stripper-banging sex addict or a sloppy drunk, the only rehab for neo-Nazism is the lead role in American History X [fig.1] or being Prince Harry [fig.2]. Jesse is neither actor nor royalty, so he’s screwed. [Gawker]

New York Strip Clubs: Michelle McGee Snaps Back at Chelsea Handler

She’s not a big fan of people poking fun at her, and Michelle “Bombshell” McGee took aim at Chelsea Handler for the talk show host’s recent snide comments.
The “Chelsea Lately” chick blogged, “Jesse James’ first alleged mistress, Michelle McGee, is being supported emotionally by her father. In a recent interview, Denny McGee said that Michelle really believed that Sandra and Jesse were separated and was ’shocked’ to see them together at the Oscars. I guess she doesn’t read magazines, which makes sense since she basically has one on her face.”
Handler’s statement was not well-received by the tattoo model/stripper, who took to her Facebook page to fire back.
Michelle wrote, “Use some of that botox from your forehead and put it in your flabby underarm skin..Ive seen better wings in a bucket of KFC chicken,” followed by, “so honored to have a transexual [SIC] poke fun of me…”
