New York Adult Entertainment: Wrestling Wrap Up: From 02/01 – 02/05 2010
They’ve got some blancmange hosting RAW tonight from some sport I’ve never heard of where you turn left for three hours – but last week’s show was pretty good. For RAW anyways. You know how it goes. It’s funny, with Bret being back, William Shatner felt squeezed in there. He really only popped up to play the village idiot every so often, but his spoken word readings of the entrance themes was a slice of inspired genius that made me want to marry Planet Earth. I also like the fact that he was there to pimp a Priceline.com sponsored Horse Auction. Wow. That ranks right up there with Sharpton’s Education Reform Whistle Stop tour as one of the funkiest things to cross-promote with wrestling ever. And yes, Vince’s WBF from 1991 is on that list too. Man, that thing was full of epic despair.
