New York Strip Clubs: The NYC Air Traffic Control Kid and Aviation Professionalism
This kid was being supervised by his father, an air traffic controller, while he was talking over the radio. The pilots always repeat instructions from air traffic controllers to ensure the message has been clearly received. There was no risk here; just a child having a moment in the spotlight. I think it’s time America grew up and stopped being so paranoid.

“…the JFK tower incident is at least the third troubling episode in six months…” Only 3 incidents in 6 months. How many flights and flying hours is that? Media needs to get a sense of proportion.

I agree with Jeff.
At no time safety was compromised and neither was the child doing the actual controlling.
The hysteria is promoted by folks who have no understanding of the system.
If this guy had taken his kid to a strip club there would have been a lot less cry for his head.
