New York Strip Clubs: The Long and Short New York Magazine’s Longreads

The final piece became the starting piece for yet another, longer read: Mr. Yang’s first, forthcoming book, which was bought by HarperCollins imprint Ecco Press in July.
“One of the things that’s amazing about the piece is its language,” Mr. Moss said, as he gave the audience a taste of its opening salvo.
“Let me summarize my feelings toward Asian values: Fuck filial piety. Fuck grade-grubbing. Fuck Ivy League mania. Fuck deference to authority. Fuck humility and hard work. Fuck harmonious relations. Fuck sacrificing for the future. Fuck earnest, striving, middle-class servility.”
Good luck getting language like that past editors at the Wall Street Journal!
Ms. Pressler’s Nieman Journalism Lab-lauded profile of Diane Passage, the ex-stripper wife of celebrity accountant and Ponzi schemer Kenneth Starr, came straight out of the tabloids.

New York Escorts: MAX HAINES MURDER MYSTERY

Theirs was not an ideal marriage. Joe would leave Claudine in their trailer home in Cooperstown for weeks at a time.
Claudine had no idea that Joe had made contact with mobsters through his prison connections. He had become a contract hit man, sometimes earning $10,000 for a murder.
It was convenient for him to return to Cooperstown to hide out with Claudine.
Once Joe got into killing for profit, the hatred he harboured for his mother resurfaced. In Connecticut, he picked up two teenage prostitutes, Ronni Tassiello and Alaine Hapeman.
He stabbed them to death. When their bodies were recovered, it was learned each had been stabbed more than 100 times. During a 13-month period, Joe roamed the country in a drunken stupor, killing as he went, sometimes for profit, more often prostitutes whom he hated with a rage nurtured since childhood.

New York Strip Clubs: Even as Arrests Increase, Human Trafficking Remains A Problem

… We’re making dent, and we’re making progress,” said James Hayes, ICE’s Special Agent in Charge of Investigations. “But there’s still a lot of work to do.”
Between 14,500 and 17,500 victims are trafficked into the United States each year, according to the Department of Justice. ICE has been reaching out to the public with information about trafficking, particularly through January, which is the Human Trafficking Awareness month.
Most trafficking victims are from impoverished backgrounds and come from Mexico, El Salvador or Guatemala, often by crossing the border illegally or from south-east Asia and Eastern Europe, using fraudulent documents.
Traffickers often entice their victims with the prospect of jobs, education or marriage in the United States.
“When they get here, they’re working 14 hours in a night club, 14 hours in a strip club, 14 hours in a massage parlor, or worse,” Hayes said.

New York Escorts: Demonstrations to press Israel on prostitution

Demonstrations to press Israel on prostitution
January 31, 2012
(JTA) – Demonstrations to put international pressure on Israeli lawmakers to criminalize the purchase of sexual services in Israel are set to be held in four major cities worldwide.

The legislation, proposed by Orit Zuaretz of the Kadima Party, is based on laws that have been enacted in Sweden, Iceland, Norway and most recently in France. The model works on the principle that in order to effectively combat sex trafficking and prostitution, the demand for sexual services must be confronted.
“Simply put, prostitution is a form of modern slavery and must be eradicated — not just in Israel but throughout the world,” said Rabbi Levi Lauer, founding executive director of ATZUM.

More than 15,000 individuals are estimated to be working in the prostitution industry in Israel, including 5,000 minors.

New York Escorts: Jennifer Love Hewitt Goes Shopping For Sex Toys

Jennifer Love Hewitt was spotted shopping for sex toys last week in Hollywood. Wait a minute, who was watching all of her cats at home? Mr. Snuggles must have been so lonely! From the New York Post:
Jennifer Love Hewitt was spotted shopping for toys at the Hustler store the other night on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. Hewitt was solo and, according to our spy, “had a few pairs of thongs in her hand and was perusing the ‘toys’ section before making a purchase.” Perhaps the actress was doing some research for her new role in the Lifetime series The Client List, in which she plays a Texas mom-turned-prostitute. Her rep didn’t get back to us.
The New York Posts’ writers are either comedians or puritans, because nobody believes that J.Love needs to impale herself on dildos to research movies. There could be three reasons why Jennifer needs to buy enormous rubber penises:1. Research for a Movie of the Week (yeah right)2. Vagina is beat to hell (possible, but J enjoys the company of seemingly less well-endowed WASPs)3. Power scissoring (when scissoring that special lady isn’t enough, add a doubled-headed kidney masher)My guess goes with 3, what’s yours?

New York Strip Clubs: 2 Chainz Rocks NYC Show, Rumored To Be Signing To Def Jam [Video]

At one point to begin his show, he merely mimicked himself on stage, not spitting one verse on the microphone, and just allowed the track to play. However, the crowd reacted to every word and movement, as if the rapper had just given you the hottest 16 bars of his life, it was actually amazing to see.
Once he started, you could tell he had genuine fans in the crowd. Every verse, complete with ad-libs, was guided by the jam-packed crowd. While the crowd remained “turnt-up” the entire show, the biggest records during his set were definitely when he performed “Riot,” “Spend It,” “Supa-Freak” and “Duffle Bag Boyz.”
The first two of the aforementioned records are off his latest mixtape, TRU REALigion, while the strip club anthem “Supa-Freak” can be found on Jeezy’s latest release, TM103. 2 Chainz’ performance of “Duffle Bag Boyz,” was the sign that his fans have been riding with him throughout his journey, as the record was followed as if it’d just been released.

New York Adult Entertainment: ‘Twin Peaks’ burlesque, and yes, the pun is intended

If Twin Peaks is remembered for anything, it’s the strangeness. David Lynch’s early 1990s cult hit was loaded with peculiar scenes, oddball characters, backwards talking, and of course a lady who adored a log. It also had its share of boundary-pushing naughtiness (strange-naughty, to be sure), mostly centered on One Eyed Jack’s, the casino/brothel where lots of the sexiest and creepiest scenes took place. Yet where early-’90s ABC sensibilities left the scope of the sexiness rather limited, latter-day Lynchians are free to turn up the raunch as high as they like.
That was possibly why a line led from the back of the Parkside Lounge, through the bar, and out to East Houston Street on Saturday night. The “Miss Twin Peaks” pageant is part of the Pink Room series put on by the producer, known by her stage name, Franny Fluffer. Her effort brought a cabinet of New York’s emerging neo-burlesque performers to reinterpret the show with bare-bodied dance routines.

New York Escorts: Passionate with Joe Garcia

With other New Yorkers, Joe shares a sophistication not overly burdened by self-consciousness. And, like New York natives who appreciate the big bad city, Joe is amenable to getting side-tracked. If he had not been intercepted in a Wienerwald restaurant one fateful night, you might perhaps be seeing him on the stage of the Staatsoper today. However, he was approached by a perfectly friendly couple who introduced him to a perfectly friendly old gent.
In a Ringstrasse hotel a week later, said gent handed him 5,000 Schillings and invited him to an apartment in the 19th District. Ushered into the bedroom, Joe was presented with a fait waiting to be accompli-ed – “a huge bed with a woman in it” – and for the next two years he was a sexual (not musical) performer for one of Austria’s most wealthy and powerful businessman, since deceased. “It was prostitution, but then so is opera – and that’s good, not bad,” he muses. Detachment is indispensable to brilliance. “It might be better to date opera than to live with it.”
